Does oven or gas work on Redmond Ridge need a county permit?

Why the city is not involved
Redmond Ridge lies outside Redmond’s city limits, in unincorporated King County. Gas piping and building work there are permitted through the county; in Washington, electrical permits outside cities that run their own come from the state.
Anything that shows from outside, such as a new vent cap, may also need the homeowners’ association’s architectural approval first.
Gas piping and new circuits are work for a gas fitter and an electrician. A service call settles whether a fault needs either, or only a part.
